Christmas 2010 Mantle

This is the post I've been waiting to do forevvver!

But it had to be perfect :)

And I finally got it done Friday.
I am in love with it.

My mantle is huge so I  never quite know how to fill it...but I think I did alright this time around.

Here it is all decked out for Christmas...

I mostly used things I already had with only a few new additions.

It helped make everything not look so lost.

I plan on showing you how I put together my ornament wreath soon...so be on the lookout.

I wrapped lit garland with some burlap garland I found at Micheals a few months back.
I love that stuff.
I use it for everything.
And it was a gorgeous contrast to all the red, silver and blue sparkles.

I stuck with red, blue and silver with smatterings of brown to help tie in my blue walls. (plus I just love those colors together)

I used my dollar store apothecary jars that you saw on my fall mantle.
I filled them with ornament balls from Walmart in brown, red and blue.
I also used a jingle bell H that I got at Micheals to sit in one of them.

The silver reindeer I got at Kohls for less than half it's original price.
It was a necessity this year because little man is obsessed with Rudolph and insisted that he needed a 'pretty one'.
And I'm just a sucker.

I love all the colors against the blue wall.

The baby ornament balls I got at the dollar spot in Target.

I also filled a hurricane glass on the other side with those sparkly ornaments.
Pinecones were scattered on the garland to tie in the rustic qualities of the burlap and Joy hanging.
It tones down the sparkliness a little :)

I adore these glitter trees from eighteen25.
They are just gorgeous and super easy to make.

Another look at the ornament ball wreath hanging on my old window frame.

Ooh. Christmas.

I finally feel like Christmas has entered our home... now if school could just end...

But it's a good reminder to be joyful during this busy season... to remember what it's really all about.

Can't forget the stockings!
I got these quilted beauties from Kohl's last year on sale.
I loved the monogramed ones they had but hated the feel of them (I'm weird like that)
so I got the cushy ones and monogramed them myself.
I also added a beaded trim for some glam.

The baby stockings are for our kitties- Ellie and Toby.
I just got sequin dollar store stockings and put a chrystal mongogram on them too.
Our kitties are all glam too :)

I think I might need to go sit in this room for a little while.
So cozy.
