Easy Burlap Word Art

Apparantly my theme for this week is 'wall art' because I have a ton of tutorials on them lined up.

And I cant' wait to show you my new mantle decor.
Love it!!

But for now I wanted to show a piece I did a while ago when I was redoing little man's room.

His colors were red, blue and brown and he just loves seeing his name around and his r's.

So I came up with an easy version of those alphabet name prints you see a lot.

I got some cardstock letters...

They were already red but more pinkish for me... so I painted them a brighter red.

I wrapped the back of 16x20 picture form I had with burlap.
It's just wrapped and hotglued.

Then I hotglued the letters in lines on the board.
I tried to do random patterns but hubby still comes in and says  that it says 'zap'!
Little man's name is in blue going diagonally down.

I popped it back into a frame I had that I painted a hammered brown.
I'm waiting to find the perfect, chunkier frame to put it in.
I'm not in love with the thin frame it has right now... but it works :)

Here's his name art:

Little man loves finding his 'r'.
This was super easy and fun... you might be seeing a new variation of it coming up soon... keep your eyes peeled.

  16. Very big and deep thought, forced me to think about what we are doing with us now. We can’t predict future but we can invent it. If we are searching life on mars, then why not we first try to preserve life on earth.
