Hi Tattered & Inked readers!
I'm Landee from Landee See, Landee Do  and I'm excited to be here for the Creative Christmas Event!  My tagline says "I see it.  I like it.  I do it."  and that's what I'm all about.  I see projects I like and I then try my best to incorporate them into my home...just like you!  I love to create and the simpler, the better as far as I'm concerned.

Today we are going to be making some fun burlap trees to add to your Christmas decor.  These might be particularly appealing to you if you're the natural-tree-hugger-granola type Christmas decorator.  :)  I love burlap for its texture and its price!  You can't beat it.
What you'll need: burlap, scissors, straight pins, styrofoam cones
First, cut your burlap into 2" strips.

Cut a small piece of burlap and pin it over the top of your cone.

Fold your 2" strip in half lengthwise and pin it at the top of the cone.
TIP:  I discovered this after I took this photo, obviously, but make sure you pin through an actual fiber of the burlap so your pin doesn't slip right through the open weave of the fabric!

Then, while making sure the strip stays folded, wrap it around the cone with somewhat consistent spacing.  I pinned it every four turns or so.  When you come to the end of a strip, just pin it in place and then start a new one.

Keep going until the entire cone is covered!  Easy!  Wouldn't a mantel covered in these be so fun?

Thanks for having me Kelsey!  Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas Decorating Season!  :)
