Fabulous Aqua Mirror Makeover

Ok.
So you ready for another, better, sneak peek of my master room redo?

I'm sharing the full redo with you next week and I'm super excited to finally show it to you!

But I thought I'd show you a quick & easy makeover I did for it today.
Plus it'll give you a better glimpse into the room too :)
Double score.

So I got this cute-shaped mirror from Goodwill for dirt cheap.
Love when that happens.

I loved the shape and the dry erase markings were an easy fix.
Plus the finials on top are so adorable.
So it came home with me.
I had plans to paint it and sell it as a pair with a dresser.
But I never brought myself to do it.

Which is good, because it ended up fitting perfectly in my new room :)
Ignore the mess in the above pic...it was a work in progress at that point.

Although as I was looking at it, I decided that it seemed like something was missing in that big blank space...
Does anyone else see those cute little footprints at the top of the mirror?
Hmm.

Hobby Lobby ended up coming to the rescue with an awesome iron scroll piece.
It was perfect!!

Our bed has pretty iron scrollwork all over it
(you'll see soon!)
so I loved that it helped incorporate some of that on the opposite side of the room.

I painted it oil-rubbed bronze to match the other iron a little better.
Here it is before:

While the iron piece was drying,
I took one of my favorite colors ev-ah to my little mirror.

Krylon's blue ocean breeze.
The perfect blue :)

I painted a couple of coats then let it dry for a while.
Then I went over it with a sanding sponge and distressed that sweetheart up.

LOVE the brown wood color that comes out underneath.
I attached the iron scroll to it with a couple of screws.

And now she's sitting pretty on top of my dresser.
Here's a sneak-peek glimpse at part of that side of the room.

Don't you just love that blue??

I am so so in love with how it turned out.
It took me a long time to decide whether to add this new mirror in or leave my old one that matches my bed.
I must have moved them around 10 times to decide.
But this one was just meant to be here.
It said so.

You can't argue with that.

Ah.
Now that I've shared a peek,
I'm dying to show you the rest!!!

How are you liking it so far?

Be ready Monday for lots of eye candy :)

I hope you guys have had a great week and have an amazing Easter Weekend!
We've got Easter egg hunts, church services and family lunches going on all weekend :)
One of my favorite holidays to celebrate!!

Happy Easter!!
