Grey & White Stenciled End Tables

Guys, we finally got spring weather :)
Yippee.
Now just to see if it decides to stay or not.

We worked outside a lot and have such a way cool project to share with you soon that we did for little man's party.
I can't wait to show it to you!
But for now, it's a secret...

So in the meantime while I keep my little but awesome secret,
I thought I'd share a fun furniture makeover.
Because that makes up for holding out on ya for a little bit, riiight??

Of course it does!!

Let's check out these awesome hotel end tables I scored at Habitat last summer for 10$ a piece.
They were solid & the drawers glided effortlessly.
Why is it that hotel drawers work so well?
I love it.

Check out this plain little thing:

But all he really needed was a little love.
And paint :)

I painted him up with my favorite Snowbound by Sherwin Williams and he was looking much happier.

But after looking at the shiny new white coat, I thought it needed a little bit of extra glam.
I pulled out an 'oops' can of grey paint and my CuttingEdge stencil and stenciled up the top of the table.

Sooo pretty.
I love using foam round pouncers to paint my stencils on.
They are so easy to work with.

And how pretty did he turn out??

I decided to add a grey strip down the bottom shelf too just for a little more visual interest.
I love the grey & white together!

I also used the original hardware and just spraypainted it silver.
Love the contrast it gave against the white and it livened up that old brass color it had.

Isn't it gorgeous paired with orange and teal?
Of course, grey & white pretty much go with everything.

I gave them a top coat of polycrylic to keep them nice and safe.
Be sure to use polycrylic vs. polyurethane when sealing white furniture so it won't yellow over time.
That's my quick paint tip for you guys :)

For some reason, I don't have a great picture of the pair of them so this dark, dreary picture of the brothers will have to work.

Can't you just see them dressing up a gorgeous bedroom?
I think they'd be perfect with romantic shades of aquas or warm shades of red.
Wherever the wind blows you :)

And because it's everyone's favorite part,
here's the before & after for you...

Ah, the power of paint.
Do you love them as much as I do?

It took it from dark & plain to light & completely one-of-a-kind.
Well, two-of-a-kind if you count it's brother!

These guys are for sale so if you're in central Arkansas, message me on Facebook or email me to see about getting your hands on them!!

  2. Great re-do! They look so amazing with that stenciled top. It is so nice to have spring here so that we can all get outside and paint again. It is really hard to paint furniture in the winter.
