Wooden Arkansas Wreath

This is a super quick project I've been meaning to post for a while.

Last year, a sweet friend of mine asked me to make her a chevron Arkansas door wreath and I was super excited to get it done!!

Not only because I love tackling new projects but I got to pull out my jigsaw!!!
You guys know I love my jigsaw :) 

So I put it to good use for this project. 

I found a simple Arkansas outline on a google search and enlarged it. 

I used that as my template to trace onto the wood board I got at Lowes. 

Me and my jigsaw got to work and made a fun Arkansas outline!!

I sanded all the rough edges down and then painted it white. 

I used a chevron stencil to create thick stripes across it. 

And then added a quick red heart :) 

And of course, I gave it a light distressing before calling it done. 

I stapled a piece of ric rac ribbon to the back and used it as my hanger. 

While me and my jigsaw were already busy cutting out Arkansas outlines,

I cut out a couple more to do some different designs!!

Of course, we needed a good Razorback one.

I added red & white stripes and then used my Silhouette to add a glittered razorback to the middle. 

And for a quick Hog Heaven fix...

I used another chevron Arkansas to host a miniature razorback. 

I love making the fun Arkansas shapes and have another fun sign I made to share with you soon :) 

I think these would be so fun in all kinds of different state shapes. 

Although I'll admit that Arkansas is one of the less complicated states to cut out!!

But for now, we'll leave you with all the Arkansas fun!
