Monogrammed End Table Makeover

We're going to skip around a bit today :)

I haven't had a chance to finish sharing some of the makeovers from my Girl's Room Makeover that I shared a few weeks ago and I wanted to hop in and share the cute little end table I did for her room.

I love it so much because it's just different than most end tables.
Sweet & fun, just like our girl!!!

This was one of the pieces in her room that was actually done a LONG time ahead of her getting her own room.
So it's sat in storage for nearly three years and still looked pristine when getting it out.
(which I think is awesome considering it was not a climate controlled unit and arkansas summers are the WORST).

Here's what it looked like before I got a hold of it:

Honestly, it's been so long since it was done that I don't quite remember the where and how much part of things.
I want to say it was a Goodwill find so I probably didn't pay more than $10 for it.
It was in good condition besides a few scratches and dust.

I painted it white (Sherwin Williams Snowbound) and then decided that it still needed a little extra something.

I used two different pieces to come up with framed monogram.
The frame was a shape that I found on Picmonkey and then blew up and cut out.
I taped the pieces of paper together and laid it on the table to use as a stencil.

The "E" was from a chipboard E I had for something else in her room. I used it to create a stencil out of cardstock and then used both of the stencils to add a pretty blue framed "E" on it.

After stenciling, I used a small brush to touch up the edges and smooth everything out.

I changed out the original knob to replace it with a cute distressed blue knob.
I sealed it with several coats of Polycrylic before storing it.

I'm so glad everything ended up working out when we put everything together!
You just never know with rooms & painting it before having the room to work with was a big risk. But it definitely paid off!

It's the perfect size for her.
We were able to add a cute lamp, frame & marquee letter to it and still had room for a good book!!
I did go ahead and add another hint of blue by putting a stripe down the bottom shelf.

I'm so happy with how it turned out and it was so quick & easy to make it a personalized cute piece that she loves!!

To see all the other makeovers & details for her room, check it out here

Here's the before & after in case you want the side by side :)

From a dusty, ordinary table to a beautiful, personalized one!!

Her room was so fun to put together!!

We are slowly but surely making progress on little man's room.
(Can I still call him little if he's about to be nine??!!)
And we are neck-deep in all things Harry Potter since his party is coming up.
I can't wait to share some of the fun things we've been cooking up!!

Happy Thursday!!
